Has anyone on the forum participated in a World Series of Poker event? I would like to know if anyone did it, but if not, maybe over the years a player from here can go. That is a challenge for everyone.

It seems that no one has played in a world series of poker, we are not at the level of the great players, that is why it must be a motivation to be able to continue climbing levels, a challenge that each one can set for themselves.

At least you have to know something about the game and have experience in it, otherwise it is as if you were giving away your money, but there are also people who are going to try their luck and want to have fun, but for others it is their job and they are going to give it their best.

You are right, all players can try and have the possibility of winning a big tournament in these world series, it is not easy, the variance of poker in tournaments is great, that is why you have to have a lot of patience.

To play the world series of poker you have to have money to be able to pay for everything until you get to the tables to play, but if you save today you will be able to have enough money to play in the world series that are unique and exciting for every poker player.

As for playing live, it's also not for me. I couldn't bear the nerves, especially when I got to the next stage, I would burn out. Moreover, to play WSOP in the main event, you need to have a buy-in of USD 10,000, and money for tickets, hotel, etc. To win such a tournament, you need not only the skills of playing live poker, but also a lot of luck....

$12M was the prize for the winner of the WSOP main event last year , it wouldn't surprise me if this year is bigger . The players want to play poker , after the Corona shutdown , now poker blooms again . Live poker , cause online it's a different story .

That's right, last year the first one took more than 12 million dollars, but I think that net it is less because they have to pay taxes in their country, I think it is 30%. Only the country of the United Kingdom does not pay taxes, and the players at the final table who won took all the money.

If I won the main event I would stop playing poker . Take the money and invest it . That's what a former main event winner did . Spent some of it unsuccessfully in high stakes cr** games but then he stopped playing and made good use of the rest of the money . Ofcourse if you win the main event and you don't already have a sponsor , you soon will have one , and sponsor money can be used for poker bankroll .
